I bought a mattress (Sleepwave Pocket 1000) from this man about 7 weeks ago. The mattress is very comfortable, the price was around 40% cheaper than a similar mattress recently purchased from a well-known maker, and delivery was quick. I would highly recommend both the mattress and the seller.

Hi John – it’s taken me a while to do this as I only moved in the house last weekend.
When I was looking for the right mattress, I did a great deal of research on the internet, I found a couple of mattresses on Factory Beds Direct that I liked. I phoned John and he advised and solved any doubts I may have had about my choices. From the day I decided to order from him, he was only a phonecall away and I felt confident that I had chosen the right matress and supplier. We arranged a suitable delivery time and he phoned me to say he was on his way, he also took the matress upstairs to where it would be.

Gosh, how lucky I was finding your website! With your advice I ordered a 6ft zip and link Pashmina for my elderley mother and girlfriend to sleep on (separately!) both have hip problems and needed something fairly soft and forgiving and these mattresses are perfect.

I can’t praise John’s service highly enough. I was prepared to really splash out on a new bed as I sleep really poorly, but after testing numerous mattresses in many shops and being given lots of contradictory advice, I felt more confused than ever. I was very pleased with the attention I received the beds arrived double bagged which was highly sensible and necessary and I would not have thought of it myself. They arrived on time I personally thought they looked great. Here follows the comments from my 2 guests who have slept on them.
Ruth – We have spent the last 3 nights on the beds and they are very comfortable , with a slight hammock/water bed feeling that lets you sink into the mattress and is very conducive to a good nights rest. They are a little high which needs to be remembered if you’re not used to it!
Margaret – I SLEPT VERY WELL. THE BED WAS VERY COSY AND COMFORTABLE. SITTING ON THE SIDE TO GET IN AND OUT WAS A BIT LIKE SITTING ON A WATER BED.

Review of the Kingsize Affinity Pocket 2000 Mattress.
Firstly, the service from John is excellent, – if you decide to buy a bed you’ll probably meet in person, in fact, as he delivers the mattress straight to your bedroom! After having looked at the internet in general at a number of mattresses what impressed me most was the honesty of John’s approach. There really are those special offers of was £1300, now £500 (and I saw it on some of the mattresses John sells, and he sells it cheaper!). But with this company, you get a good overview of how mattresses are made, what to expect and what you are actually paying for. I’m confident to say that you get a quality mattress at an excellent price, in fact the cheapest price I could find.
So, the mattress itself. We ordered a Kingsize Affinity Pocket 2000 with an additional Reflex layer to give it extra substance and to provide a durable bridge between the spring unit and the top layers. The first thing you notice is the quality and weight of the mattress – this isn’t going to bend around doors (so do make sure there’s a clear, straight run to the room you will be using it in). The Belgian Damask jacquard fabric is excellent and there are the nice touches of hand tufted woolen felts. (It’s scary to say but I now know what they are.) You feel like you have a bargain, even before you’ve laid down on the thing. The mattress, itself, is medium to firm, and we have been using it for a couple of months now. We’ve found it to be very comfortable, and believe that we have a mattress that will last.
My wife and I did look at a number of mattresses, including some of the high-end Vi-Sprung mattress, which retail in the £1000s. There is a difference, perhaps not that great, actually, but as John states, he’s not competing in that market. The bottom line, in my opinion is this: if you want an excellent mattress at an excellent price, to include great service (I mean if you don’t like it you can return within 14 days, and you don’t have to worry about collection!) I would wholeheartedly recommend John and Factory Beds Direct.

I chose it for its pocket springing and the natural material for its top layer. I had a Limoges Pocket 1500 Double Mattress (medium-firm and very comfortable) delivered in person by John at the weekend, and I really cannot fault either the item or the service.
