The Origins Pocket range should be the most you pay for a polyester based mattress. If this falls within your maximum budget you can rest assured that there is not much more out there that compares.
This range comes in two spring counts either 1500 or 2000 and your bodyweight will dictate which one will be suitable for you. The main difference between the two models is based on the amount of support it gives. For people of a lighter bodyweight there is no need to go for the 2000 spring count. People of a heavier bodyweight will require the extra support the additional 500 springs will give.

PRIMARY LAYERS:
FIRST LAYER: 300 gsm Wool: This component is blended with (nominal amount) silk to give the primary layer beneath the fabric a gloriously soft cushion.
SECOND LAYER: 750gsm Very soft Polyester: This coupled with the layers below brings the level of upholstery quite high. However, when compressed through tufting gives these layers a medium comfort but also has sufficient support by use of the springs.
THIRD LAYER: 500gsm Polyester: This is the cushioning layer that acts as the dampener between the insulator layer below and the soft polyester that will follow.
FOURTH LAYER: One inch foam insulator: Directly on top of the spring unit we use a one inch layer of HD foam. This cushions you from the spring unit but also works with you enabling the pocket springs to rise and fall as you move
TURN: This is a full two sided mattress.
SPRINGS: A 1500 nested pocket spring unit, giving the mattress an overall medium support. We have also included butterfly clips to the perimeter to aid edge support
DETAILING: The side panels are machine stitched . Traditionally hand tufted.
FABRIC: A beautiful stretch soft knit with a [nominal ] Cashmere and Silk content. Nevertheless, it is absolutely glorious and enhances the underlying layers to perfection.
BASE: The matching base depth is 12 inches deep plus 2″ chrome glides. The fabric used is a pure white microquilt to match the side panels on the mattress.

SUMMARY: The Origins 1500 / 2000 is a substantial well built and well filled and ultimately a well priced mattress. There really isn’t much out there that can be deemed a good comparison for this price.
The side panels may be machine side stitched but the price absolutely justifies this. Although, classed as a 9″ mattress (the depth of the side panels) the quantity of fillings contained make the surfaces protrude so when hand tufted creates a sumptuously deep mattress bringing the overall depth to a more realistic 11″.
All in all, this is a thoughtfully conceived mattress. Every component used works together to create an outstanding mattress for the money. Bear in mind when doing comparisons, that this is a full double sided mattress – not one sided.
